I remixed this based on a non-stop Tatsuro Yamashita mix that I originally made for my own driving cassette tape years ago.
COME ON!

The analog LP COME ALONG was originally produced for in-store play at record shops as a promotional tool. It wasn’t an idea conceived by Tatsuro Yamashita himself but rather by the Japanese music division staff at RVC at the time.
The album featured a selection of tracks from Circus Town (1976), Spacy (1977), and Go Ahead! (1978), along with the newly released single "Ai wo Egaita - LET'S KISS THE SUN -". Side A was structured as 'Dancing Side' in the style of a disco DJ set, while Side B recreated the vibe of Hawaii’s KIKI radio station, titled 'KIKI Station Side'.
Between tracks, DJ segments were seamlessly woven into the mix, creating a non-stop flow. The DJ for the album was Katsuya Kobayashi, and Mariya Takeuchi—who later became Yamashita’s wife—also contributed to the project, thanks to her fluency in English.
At the time, COME ALONG was only available on cassette, and I was lucky enough to get my hands on a copy. I listened to it countless times.
Years later, when I became a DJ myself, I felt the urge to create my own version of COME ALONG, selecting the tracks myself and recording a non-stop mix onto cassette. It became my go-to soundtrack for driving.
This new mix is a fresh reinterpretation, inspired by that original tape from those days.
I hope you enjoy it!
